With more than 50 years of combined experience in education, sisters Sarah Bowman and Rachel Falkowski founded Academic Anchor to help students successfully navigate the transition to college.

Sarah recently retired after 31 years as an elementary educator with Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools. As the mother of three—one college graduate and two currently in college—she has seen firsthand that every student's transition to higher education is unique.

Rachel has taught elementary education for 19 years and currently serves as the full-time Teachers' Union President for Wayzata Public Schools. As the mother of three sons, two currently in college, she understands the increasing demands students face as they manage online learning platforms, multiple courses, and the adjustment to living independently.

In addition to their extensive teaching experience, both Sarah and Rachel have held numerous leadership roles in education, bringing a wealth of knowledge, advocacy, and mentorship to the students and families they serve.
